Ever been stuck trying to remember a food name in Igbo?

Maybe you are reasonably fluent in Igbo, but wonder about Igbo names  of some food stuff.

I compiled a small list for you.

Ji – yam

Ofe – soup

Akwụkwọ nri – vegetable

Ọka -corn

Mkpụrụ osisi – fruits

Unere – banana

Oroma – orange

Akụ oyibo- coconut

Nnu -salt

Ose -pepper

Mmiri – water

Agwa – beans

Akara — bean balls (made from bean flour)
